THE TOUCH OF ISRAELI-JEWISH CULTURE
Tour to Israel could be one of the most interactive and interesting travel leisure to have. Significant historical and biblical events happened in the lands and seas of this wonderful region. Much of humans' ancient knowledge is devoted to Israel's soils. And as it is traced down to thousands of years ago, Jews has played essential and major roles in the cultivation of the nation and today's rich culture.
Coming from different walks of life, countries or civilizations, whether Russians, Indians, British, Euthopian, Eastern Europeans, Yemenites, South Americans, Moroccans, Syrians, Iraqis or French in origins, Jews from around the world find their magnetism towards the land of Israel. Besides the country's economic promise, the land offers great spiritual touch to the many Jews as they are united under one belief. They are unified even more by the historical inspiration of what the Jews experienced during the dark moments of World War II.
In the call for self-determination among the Jewish people and their sovereign Israel, Zionism has paved way to various internal instability, intimidation and global conflicts. The harsh generations experienced by the Jewish people created their state identity as being generally brusque. Any native Jew is given a title of sabra, a thorny pear or cactus fruit, which is likened to their common impression of toughness. This image can even be traced in some of their traffic attitudes, store purchasing manners and the rather easy expression of frustrations.
The impression projected by Israeli-Jewish people has led other cultures to create a label pertaining to their fighter-like approach. But in getting to know more of them, they also have soft sides. In fact, anybody can closely identify them with the general European culture. Some details of their fashion style can be traced to a European approach. In the name of technology, Israelis are also front runners to the countless technological and medical advancement. They love to travel and settle to different parts of the globe. Any nation would have a couple of Israeli-Jewish people living on their territories. They are proficient in English as evidenced in their conversations. Interestingly, they are also actively participation the annual Euro vision Song Contest.
There is the concept of the Birthright Israel. This is considered to be the ‘gift of first time' for Jews around the world who have never gotten the chance to set foot to the Israel soils. The founders of this idea aim to strengthen the Jewish bond and relationship all over the world in order to eliminate division among the group. Birthright Israel is a chance for the young adults, usually ages 18 to 26, to visit their roots and affirm their identity.
Experience with the overall Jewish culture can either give a cold impression or a warm embrace for non-Jewish tourists who travel Holy Land and other parts of Israel. To eliminate the former idea, one has to immerse with ease and become open to the brighter side of the Jewish culture. The land has a lot to offer for visitors' tour to Israel. And aside from the magnificence of tourist spots, the feeling of being with the Jewish population and tradition should add more delight in the entire experience.
