Great New Vampire Novel: More about Blood Prophecy Queens Destiny

 

Do you enjoy a good vampire novel? Yea, I thought so. Well, check this one out: Blood Prophecy, One: Queen's Destiny. It is considered a top five of its kind. Vampire novels like this are hard to beat. Filled with vivid imagery, in depth character psyche, and plenty of action and mystery. Oh, did I forget to mention its seductive attributes? That's right, just like a good vampire novel ought to have.

            It starts you off in a far off place in a long ago time. Right on the coast of the Mediteranean. Try 1129 B.C. for long ago. And, trust me when I say that these authors, Barb Jones and Jerry Wright have done their history homework as they fly you around to different places and ancient times. From the get-go you are thrust into adventure and mystery and imagery that are hard to beat.

            And, as if vampires weren't enough, they threw some werewolves into the action.

            Now, let me introduce the protagonist—a lovely red-head genius prodigy type-- a character easy to get attached to. She gets a master's degree (only taking her a bit over four years to achieve) in cultural anthropology and becomes a curator of a special collection of Macedonian artifacts for the Seattle Museum of Natural History.

            Enter Chloe: who happens to be a witch and works at the same museum, specializing in tribal artifacts. She is a prodigy as well, but not in the same way as Amber (Chloe has "the sight"). The two of them immediately become friends.

            Then you got Micheal and Marcus who are vampires as well, and on a mission. It is nice that this vampire novel takes you back in time and toRomeand else where. Provides better escape.

            Historical insight always has a mystical effect on me. And, the novel wasn't too thick on romance and tragedy, like the trend of today.

            The authors of this vampire novel kept my attention (a hard thing to do!) as they used foreshadowing techniques, kept a smooth flow, and used a good descriptive vocabulary, powerful enough to immerse you in the story.

            I love a book that will keep me sucked in enough to keep my mind off of the ruckus. This vampire novel does just that.
